Chough Drone Services is named after the iconic Cornish bird. Our aim is to make aerial imaging accessible to everyone, by providing high quality aerial photography and videography services at affordable and straightforward prices. We also offer conventional ground-based photography and videography to supplement the aerial imagery, plus editing if desired, and can tailor our services to meet your needs. We are based near Helston in Cornwall, but can travel if required and, in most cases, don't charge for the first 50 miles of our travel expenses. We also offer a 24 hour turnaround time for some of our services.
The services we offer include: creation of property marketing, business marketing and holiday cottage marketing media (including indoor/outdoor FPV flythroughs), aerial photography for weddings and other events, and aerial photography for certain survey purposes. However, the applications for UAVs are virtually limitless, so if you have a more unusual request, please contact us and we'll be happy to see if we can be of assistance.
Safety is the top priority at Chough Drone Services. We are CAA registered, DBS checked and hold public liability insurance. We seek all relevant permissions prior to operating, and carry out a risk assessment for each flight, noting potential concerns such as people on the ground, other air traffic, structures, wildlife, etc. Weather forecasts are monitored in advance of the scheduled flight, and conditions at the site measured on the day (as a general guide, flights cannot take place if wind speeds exceed 25 mph or if it is raining). Additionally, when required, we utilise a two-man crew.
